When I first read these Amal Totkays, I thought that they are pretty simple. So, I decided to implement these totkays in my daily life because I wanted to see their effectiveness before writing down anything about them. To my surprise, these totkays seem easy but when we truly try to implement in our lives, they are difficult because they change our life. I find these totkays challenging but at the same time helping because I noticed some change in myself. From past few days, I’ve noticed that I’m trying hard to get out of my comfort zone. Initially, I was hesitant but I tried thrice and I was able to do what I really wanted to do but couldn’t because of shyness.

From these totkays, I have learned to speak my mind, to become more open towards new habits. I used to prefer staying home and if someone invites me to their place, I always used to come up with an excuse. But, yesterday there was an event at my neighbor’s place and she invited me over. I thought that I will come up with an excuse but I don’t know what happened but I went there. My mom was surprised too. I realized it later that it was because I tried implementing totkays in my life. So, I think that these totkays are very effective.

Though every tip was my favorite but my favorite was to put myself in challenging situation so that I will be able to come up with solution on my own. I believe that harder situations help us to become strongest versions of ourselves. I always look out for new opportunities so for me the tip of putting myself in challenging situation was very helpful. The other favorite tip of mine was to talk to myself. As it was said that our talk has to be positive. We have to think as if we can achieve anything in our life. This tip helped me a lot. My teacher wanted me to help in a project. I thought that I will not be able to do such difficult task. But, then I talked to myself and encouraged myself that I can do it. Nobody can do it better than me. This helped me a lot and I said yes to the project.

Though I have started implementing these totkays in my life, I think still there is a lot of room for improvement. I am bad at asking help from others. I feel like I will disturb others from my problems. That’s why I try to come with every solution on my own. But, I really have to ask others for help because sometimes, this attitude takes toll on my health and it makes me suffer a lot. So, I think I have to implement growth mindset which I have started implementing already but still there are some areas where I have to work. I can achieve growth mindset by accepting my weaknesses and then look out for opportunities where I can overcome those weaknesses. That’s how I think I can implement growth mindset.
