#JustStart your goals.

Having goals is important but having Smart goals is very essential. The main difference between a simple goal and Smart goal is that a Smart goal gives us in depth knowledge about our goals. Smart goals tell us whether our goals are Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Time-Bound or not.

One of my Smart goals is to increase my confidence so that I will be able to participate more in group conversations. This goal can be achieved through effective communication i.e. I have to take part in communication atleast twice on daily basis. And I want to gain confidence by the end of Amal fellowship.

Now, it is clear that my goal is SMART i.e. it is specific. I know what I want ti achieve and how can i achieve it so it is measurable as well. It is attainable as well because if I will take part in group conversations, I will become an active member of group and it will help to overcome shynness and also help me to gain confidence. It is time bound as well because i know that I want to achieve it by the end of this fellowship.

Now, as I have explained my Smart goal. I have to work hard to achieve it. So I decided that from this week, i will work hard to achieve this goal. The three tasks that I need to do to achieve this goal are:

Take part in group conversations.

Initiate the conversation.

Prepare myself before group discussion so that I know exactly what I will say in group discussion.

This week, we had our learning group discussion. I prepared my points before meeting and I took psrt actively in the group discussion. I , even gave some ideas to conclude the discussion.

Moreover, I also took part in my university discussion group as well. I won’t say that I have recahed the highest level of confidence or Inhas achieved my goal. But I can surely say that I have overcome the hesitancy and now I am looking forward to achieve this goal by the end of this fellowship.
